  | Citroen 2cv special 1987 .we are selling our 2cv , this is because we want to buy our first house and we need to move soon and sell all things we can to raise deposit. so sadly...>
our little cv has to be sold as is our second car. the 2cv has MOT untill 23rd june 2012 and is taxed until end may 2012. the 2cv starts and runs fine and no major mechanical problems that i am aware if. the coil over heats in hot weather but i have a brand new coil which is included in the sale. it has low milage and is in origional condition. the chassis is origional but is not full of rust. the last few mots have no advise or failure for week or rusting chassis. the chassis is fine and does not need to be changed. the car is in pretty good shape for its year , however as fotos show there are a few areas where she is showing her age. sadly one of our neigbours reversed into the off side rear wing and never owned up to it so there is a dent in the wing which i have shown in fotos. there is some surface rust in a few places which again you can see in fotos. she is an honest car with no nasty hidden things, what you see is what you get. we have used her only as a fun car and for a couple of holiday trips. she was for us a work in progress and we had planned to lavish time and money on her, but desperate need of dosh for deposit on house means sentimeant can be allowed. the front disc pads need changing, i have new disc pads but havent got around to changing and job change means i have no time to tinker. we have a all weather cover and a internal hood liner included in sale. also included are haynes manual , restoration manual, oil /air filter , coil , brake pads , plugs points and condensor as shown in foto. please no trye kikkers lets not waste each others time eh. deposit via pay pal X | £821.00  | |||||||

I went in and had a quick look and decided she was well worth saving so got her home to my workshop where I have given her a thorough going over prior to putting her through a Spanish MOT, which she completed with the following warnings. | 1, The inspector couldn’t find the chassis number on the chassis. (This is because it is a new, galvanised chassis) | 2, The petrol cap is incorrect. (it is one of those plastic emergency ones) | 3, The headlights were out of adjustment. | 4, There is play on one steering pivot. | This test is carried out by the Spanish government, not a private garage, and is considered more rigorous than the UK equivalent. I have copies of the certificate if required. | Mechanically she is in excellent condition, The engine starts and runs fine, the clutch, gearbox, brakes etc are all good and the tyres are in good shape. She drives well, steers straight and door locks etc work properly. She has seen some serious restoration by the previous owner and has a perfect galvanised chassis, new roof, and new original rubber floor mats. I must assume that the engine has received similar treatment. She also has a new battery. | Now the bad bits: The bodywork, although solid, has some rusty bits, the paintwork is sun faded and flaking in places and there are one or two dents. (see pictures). The seats need re upholstering under the seat covers and the driver’s side window clip is missing. | I have tried to give an accurate description of the 2CV and, as a mechanic myself I would have no hesitation about driving her back to the UK it required. I have full title to the vehicle and of course the V5 registration document. Viewing is recommended | The 2CV is situated in San Roque in southern Spain near Gibraltar and near to three airports; Gib, Malaga and Jerez. If you are the winning bidder I will happily meet you with the vehicle at any of the three, although there would be some cost for Jerez and Malaga. It is then seam sealed stone chip protected and etch primed. We refurbish the doors bonnet boot and A panels, then along with 4 new wings and new vent flap, all these are now sent out to be professionaly 2 pack primed and painted in a spray oven. This give’s us the best quality & finish available. When the car is built it is fully waxoyled with our German wax injection system. While this is away we will start to build the new Galvanised rolling chassis with a reconditioned Engine and Gearbox, all the axles suspension and steering are stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with new parts wherever necessary, then painted in black. as one of my housing projects is hugely over budget! This is my 1988 2CV in red and white. It`s a project and will need to be trailered away. The engine, gearbox and brakes all work fine, but the floor and chassis will need welding. The seats are poor and the roof is torn and will need renewing. The car has NO DOCUMENTS OR KEYS AND IS A KEYLESS STARTER. I paid £600 for it as a project as it`s not too bad and the bodywork is ok for the year. It`s most definitely worth saving and I only want to get my money back. It is then seam sealed stone chip protected and etch primed. We refurbish the doors bonnet boot and A panels, then along with 4 new wings and new vent flap, all these are now sent out to be professionaly 2 pack primed and painted in a spray oven. This give’s us the best quality & finish available. When the car is built it is fully waxoyled with our German wax injection system. While this is away we will start to build the new Galvanised rolling chassis with a reconditioned Engine and Gearbox, all the axles suspension and steering are stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with new parts wherever necessary, then painted in black. it but have the French registration document for it so with a current MOT and insurance UK registration will be simple. The van was MOT`d in the UK in 1999 but I never got around to registering it or using it as a problem with the brakes arose and has never been attended to as life became to busy and after twelve years I have decided it is time to let it go to someone who wants it. Prior to the MOT new seat covers /tyres and other minor parts were fitted. The van was then barn stored and has remained unused since due to a lack of interest. The French paperwork declares the van to be 1969 but I was advised that it was ex military and may be older as the 1969 could be the date of release, however I am unsure so please be aware that it may be older. The great thing about this van is that it has spent most of its working life in a warm climate and therefore has been preserved much better than a UK example would have been. The van is being sold as a project and will obviously require attention prior to use, please study the pictures carefully and do not enter any bid until you are sure, viewing is welcomed/ advised but by appointment only please! The van is on its original 6volt electrics, I have just purchased a new 6v battery [included in the sale]. The fuel system was flushed out and the van now starts/ runs it sounds quite healthy and starts easily, the clutch operates and gears all select without any issues, however the brakes are binding on and will require attention prior to driving. . There are a certain number of spare parts that I have gathered for the van including an engine[unknown condition] that will be given to the lucky purchaser. Please feel free to ask any sensible questions and I will try to help. The vehicle is collection only and payment is required within 3 days of auction end. Payment by bank transfer or cash, if pay pal is used I will require all costs to be added to the final price. who owned it since 1999.. It is a very structually sound wonderfully driving car with only 58000 miles with full history as per pics. As with most 2cv`s there are a couple of minor marks here and there but they are not glaringly obvious and dont stand out. Overall this is a good looking car and will provide its new owner with much enjoyment. So the description:::Bodywork is very good overall. Drivers door has some shallow indentations which could be removed without painting(dentmaster paintless dent removal company) , rear n/s wing has some minor indentations(small) low down to the rear. . Screen surround is perfect,new bonnet hinge recently fitted,quarter front panels all good. vent flap all good,bonnet all good, drivers wing is good bar two minor marks, passenger wing is the same , passenger door all very good as is rear passenger door. All door bottoms are very good. Front bumper is good but repainted. rear bumper has a small dent and would look better if replaced(not expensive). So all in all its a good looking car that with a minimal amount spent could be made stunning. Interior is all sound . Chassis is possibly original or a replacement but it is superb and i think it has been replaced at some point in its life. Anyone who knows these cars will know they handle much better with original chassis. The galvanised chassis dont resemble the originals. The floors are excellent as can be seen in pics,boot area is rust free, rear floors are rust free. It has had some welding in the past to the bulkhead area but this is all ok and up to mot standards.The car sports a recent burgundy canvas hood in excellent condition. The rear wings have been repainted at some time in the past and in my estimation would look better if redone again but dont get me wrong im a perfectionist and some people wouldnt bother.. I have tried to give a good honest description of the physical condition ,this said its a good looking car and still cuts a `dash`If you wanted to make this car `mint` it wouldnt cost very much,but maybe you wouldnt want it mint as you would be too frightened to take it out anywhere.choice is yours,but this is a great car in good condition for its year with low recorded mileage and good history which is rare. Its very usable and mechanically is superb,and i have to say one of the best 2cv`s ive driven.
