Citroen DOLLY For Sale

is for a 1989 2CV dolly in red and white with a grey roof. I purchased the car with a view to go racing, but I am building a 205 race car, so this project is now surplus .On inspection so far this car definitely requires to get on the road, new sills both sides. Front floor sections on both sides. ( possibly worth replacing both floors fully) and the toe board. The bottom of the B pillars could do with attention. Maybe replacement. There are various places that will need patching up on the bulkhead and forward of the sills. Also a small patch around the drivers side quarter window. Bonnet hinge will need a tidy up. It will require new tyres also. The headlights will need a clean up and everything is a bit shabby chic, so some fresh paint would not go amiss. Also 2 small tears in hood. Although I believe the hood is quite recent. You can get away with hand painting these though. A check on 2cv city will show that these panels are not too expensive. Even a new chassis is only £350. The chassis has some rust on it but i haven`t gone through to fresh air so should be fine with a clean up as far as I have seen. The only work I have done is the removal of interior (very quick job on these) and removed front wings and bonnet. I`ve released most of the chassis to body bolts but a few need grinding off to get it free. Will pop them back in for trailering as this is the only way it`s going to be moved away. I bought the car as a none runner but I have started it and driven it round the back of the house. It runs fine with no smoke so piston rings are ok. It will need some fresh petrol and a charged battery to get it fired up.I`ve kept it under a tarp and sprayed it with corrosion inhibiter to keep it from deteriorating. This is worth spending the time to get it recommisioned. But unfortunately it`s time I don`t have currently. It would be better going to someone who can get her back on the road instead of sitting around at mine for another year. A look at the prices of roadworthy cars and the cost of spares show this to be a worthwhile project.
