now, and it has never let me down, and I’m only selling as I now have an estate version. First, the bad points: | Some mindless cretin forced open the driver’s door to steal some money that I had foolishly left in the car one night. I managed to bend the door back with a bit of 2x4 (which I would have liked to wrap around the neck of the aforementioned piece of sh1t), to within 1% of where it should be. As a result of this, there is a very very slight whooshing of wind when driving, but it’s hardly noticeable, in all honesty. See the photos for the crease left behind. | A little boy, who shall remain nameless, played with the rear window up/down button once too often and jiggered the switch on that side. I came along later and in my attempts to try to find out what had gone wrong managed to screw up the window winder assembly so that it no longer works. In addition, the door card got all bent out of shape too, so that now sometimes the door can be a bugger to open. | That’s the worst of it, really. The tyres are all good. The front discs and brakes were completely renewed about a year ago. It has new corner spheres about six weeks ago, so the car rides like a dream. | I have run it on veg for many of the last 5000 miles - yes, it has the Bosch pump. | New exhaust at 80K. | Has two keys - one for the door and one for the ignition: the lock was replaced recently. The heater has a new rheostat as the old one packed up. | It only has 94.5k on the clock. | Road tax until October ’12. | MoT expires end of October. | It’s a solid dependable car that I’m sure will run and run. | Cash on collection, none of that paypal business, thanks. | For sale is a 1999 Citroen Xsara 1.9 Dturbo | I bought the car on Friday (4th May) as my every day car went bang and I needed a car urgently to get to and from work, I luckily managed to fix my other car today (A LOT quicker than we thought we could fix it) so now I no longer need the Xsara | After owning the vehicle 2 days and only doing 85~ miles in it, I can`t say much about it! | It starts really quickly for a diesel and runs very well, the alternator has a noisy bearing I believe, but like I say it starts and runs very well. | The car is littered with knocks and dents but interior wise it`s very clean and only has a couple of bits of broken trim etc.I | I`ll be completely honest with the car as it is only a cheap workhorse, but it does do a very good job at that. | The windscreen has scratches on it, the car knocks a bit when you first pull away (Driveshaft?) But it drives very nicely and the temp sits at the usual 71 degrees. | The heater is either on, or off. On a switch. Gets nice & warm still though! | There`s a spare wheel sat in the boot, no idea if its any good as the boot rams dont hold the boot lid up long enough for me to get the bloody thing out. | These engines are the infamous 1.9 XUD engine used in all the Citroen/Peugeots of this time, brilliant engines and ultra reliable. Everything works as it should - electric windows, power steering, central locking | As I say, I don`t have a hell of a lot to say about the car, it`s got 4 wheels, it`s blue, and I found a pair of childrens boxers in the back? (Not sure what the previous owner got up to?!) | All in all it`s just a cheap run about, it`s bloody quick for an old diesel & I have nothing to hide. The engine looks pretty dry to me, as I say its no show car but it`ll do as an old banger to run about in for someone, It`s got new brake bads & I cant see any real reason it wont go through an MOT. It`ll probably want a set of tyres as they look pretty perished. | There`s quite a few bits of paperwork for the car and I have literally taxed it for 6 months on friday morning, I`ll be cashing this back in unless you want to give me the £121 I paid for it. | NO WARRANTY as I have only owned the car literally a few days! I don`t have the full log book, but will given a written receipt and will send the log book off as soon as I get it myself. | Collection from Norfolk - me with any questions as I need the space on my driveway ASAP!
