That probably means I'm misconfiguring something, but still, here it goes: In our presentation 4.5 farms I always used the farm setting "concurrent connection limit" to prevent users from logging on more than once (I set the limit to 1). Now, in XenApp 6, I create a GPO and configure a Citrix Policy in the GPO's user node. I edit the "unfiltered" policy and set "concurrent connection limit" to 1. But, a user is still able to connect at least twice. I only publish a desktop. The strange thing is however, that although a user has definately two desktops open on his screen, I only see ONE session in the delivery console. I also tried to make a connection (using a test account) to two seperate servers in the farm (so the user had two desktops open, one connecting to server 1 and one connecting to server 2). In the management console I see one session on both servers. Also, when I disconnect a session and try to logon again, a new session is created. In the delivery service console I now see 2 sessions (one disconnected and one active). The webinterface preference for the user is set to "always reconnect". I made sure the GPO is applied correctly, other settings like folder redirection are applied. Am I missing something here? The user profile is definately loaded two times, this is exactly the reason I want one connection per user. Also, I would expect that when a user tries to make a connection for the second time he would "take over" his other connection (or get an error saying he's reached the concurren connection limit). Can anyone help me with this? I just installed another farm and have exactly the same issue. See attached screenshot. I set the GPO setting "Limit user sessions" to 1. Then I created two applications and connected to both with the same user. This should not be possible right? I also tried the "concurrent connection limit" in the user GPO. Would mean a lot if I could solve this. Otherwise it seems that the settings don't apply immediatly. Is the setting to Restict each user to a single session setting set on the Xenapp servers in RD Session host config as well? It turns out that the security group "Authenticated Users" needs to be in the security filter. I usually only add a group named "citrix users" or something and remove the default authenticated users. Very sad about this...
